EASTS Conference 2017
Focus was recently hosted by GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, GmbH ) at the Eastern Asian Society for Transportation Studies (EASTS) conference in Viet Nam (http://easts2017.com)
During the conference we presented some fo the results of the recent transportation sustainability gaps study of Malaysia, as well as highliting important areas for ASEAN level cooperation (including vehicle standards, rail system integration and an international level Freight Exchange system). Over the 3 day event we had many discussions on transportation system measurments, data analysis and policy making with representatives of Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia, VietNam, Nepal, Sir Langak, Philipeans and various other countries.
