Dyno Guideline

How to choose the right Dyno?.

Dynamometers are tools for measuring mechanical power, speed and torque, and provide a controllable load to the device being tested.

INSTRUMENTATION DIVISION

Our engineering laboratory equipment has been developed in response to universities and polytech request for inexpensive, research and teaching tools fro engine and vehicles. Although our market is global, we are proudly Malaysian made. All equipment comes with 1 year warranty. Educational laboratory exercises and teaching materials are available with many of our products.

SUPERBIKE CHASSIS DYNAMOMETER AUTOMOTIVE CHASSIS DYNAMOMETER AUTOMOTIVE ENGINE DYNAMOMETER
This high power chassis dynamometer can extract over 200kW of mechanical power from competition vehicles, including GP race bikes. It’s heavy duty frame, and deep-grove textured 12-inch roller are ideal for high power motorcycles. The sturdy nose clamp can be adjusted to accommodate various motorcycle lengths, and comes with a mechanical or pneumatic tire clamp. This high power chassis dynamometer can extract 500kW of mechanical power from competition vehicles, including cars and trucks. Its heavy-duty frame and deep-grove textured 12-inch roller are ideal for high power applications without tire slip. The air-cooled eddy current dynamometer requires no external cooling lines, and is easy to install and use, giving years of trouble free service. This heavy duty engine dynamometer can extract 300kW of mechanical power from automotive engines, including cars and trucks. Its heavy-duty frame and universal engine coupling shaft are ideal for high torque applications. The air-cooled eddy current dynamometer requires no external cooling lines, and is easy to install and use, giving years of trouble free service.

COMPACT CHASSIS DYNAMOMETER HYPERMILEAGE CHASSIS DYNAMOMETER BENCH TOP DYNAMOMETER
This low-cost Dynamometer is based on a synchronous generator which is modified to give high torque loads over a wide speed range, all the way down to 0 rpm. It is carefully suspended in bearing assemblies. Torque is measured by a precision load cell and shaft speed by a speed sensor. This small chassis dynamometer consists of a driven 10cm diameter roller, and an idler roller. The main roller spins an internal eddy current dynamometer via a 2:1 gear ratio. The high radial flux dynamometer offers excellent low-speed torque, and good high speed stability. The controller quickly connects to the dynamometer and only require a single 240/120VAC power connection. It is designed for performance testing of the electric motor regenerative braking performance. The inertial wheel is mounted on the shaft using taper lock device for easy dismantling and change/add another inertial wheel (purchased optionally) to match different motor power.

COMBUSTION ANALYSIS DYNAMOMETER CONTROLLLER LOW COST EDDY DYNAMOMETER
This combustion analysis system consists of an in-cylinder pressure transducer and amplifier, crank angle encoder with TDC trigger and data acquisition unit (DAQ) to capture the combustion pressure. The pressure transducer is an optical type sensor (at right) measuring diaphragm deflection to calculate cylinder pressure. This 19” rack mount Eddy Current Dynamometer Controller is designed for laboratory and test floor use. It has fully independent PID control over Speed, Torque and has a Road Load mode where Torque is controlled to vary as Speed². The large easy to read front panel gives Speed, Torque and Dyno Current (Load). This low-cost Eddy Current Dynamometer is based on a synchronous generator which is modified to give high torque loads over a wide speed range, all the way down to 0 rpm. It is carefully suspended in bearing assemblies. Torque is measured by a precision load cell and shaft speed by a speed encoder.

DESK-TOP DYNAMOMETER DATA LOGGER DATA ACQUISITION MODULE
This “Desk Top” Dynamometer is a complete eddy current dynamometer system designed for use in student teaching laboratories. It can be provided with a Honda GX35 4-stroke engine, AC or DC electric motors. The air-cooled eddy current dynamometer requires no external cooling lines, and is easy to install and use. This Data Logger is designed as a robust display and logger for small vehicles. It is preset to operate at 10Hz, automatically recording a new file to the SD memory card every time the unit is powered on. The files are saved as ASCII text files numbered sequentially, with commas separating the individual columns of data for easy importing to Excel or other spreadsheet programs. This basic internal Data Acquisition System (DAQ) is a 10 bit low speed system is for reading 0 to 5V analog signals from various sensors commonly used in engine testing such as Thermocouples, Pressure Sensors, Voltages and etc. Several channels are available for this use, and can be displayed and logged to a computer.
